New Shade of "Green" For Whatcom County Courthouse

Congratulations to the folks down at the Whatcom County Courthouse, who are now certified green. One of the few courthouses to do so in the nation!
Per Whatcom County Website News:

"March 26th, 2008 - The Whatcom County Courthouse in Bellingham has been awarded LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Certification, an award for high-performance, green operational strategies that is administered by the U.S. Green Building Council. The Whatcom County Courthouse is only the third one in the nation to be certified through LEED® in the Existing Buildings category, and only the sixth existing building of any kind to be certified in Washington State."
